I joined like many of the crew in early 2018. Passed out as ALB Mechanic September 2019. First shout was a memorable one. The pager went at around 11pm to a person who had abandoned their yacht due to engine trouble. The casualty was disorientated and wasn’t sure of their position. After a couple of hours searching, a small dingy was spotted using the nightsight and the person was brought on board the ALB and taken back to the harbour. I got home at around 4am, I was then out the door for work at 7am.
